Hedgehog has mange. Cost for treatment?
Noticed dry skin on my hedgehog….I put her on a black piece of paper and rustled her quills. A few quills fell out along with some moving "specks" so I know she has mange. I will take her to vet asap but wondering if anyone has had this happen to them with their hedgehog and about how much it cost for treatment?
Cost can vary greatly depending on where you are located and on your veterinarian. I’ve paid anywhere from $30-60 just to walk in and see the veterinarian… medication, skin scraping, etc is an additional cost.
I recommend calling your veterinarian and asking them how much they charge for seeing the hedgehog and treating it for mites. That way you are prepared when you get the bill.
