How do I treat the mange located on my dogs face?
My dog has sarcoptic mange and It is mainly on his face. The vet gave me mitactin to treat him, but how do I treat it on his face and avoid getting it in his eyes?
it is for sure mange….I already took him to the vet, that is how I got the dip medication.
the vet only gave him shots and issued the medication and told me to dip him every other week or every other 10 days. but you cant dip his head.
the easiest way it use a cotton ball and then swab it on.

Call the vet and ask them for advice on how to administer the medication.

Use a q-tip or your finger to apply the medicine. It is easier to do with another person to help you control him.

call the vet back.
most of us humans when sitting in the docs office, or the vet, kind of space out. and do not hear everything we need to hear.
so most docs, vets too, know that they may need to repeat the instructions, not a big deal.so call the vet and ask . simple..

If you pay the vet should do it for you or rather the vet nurse

well have you actually gone to the vet and gotten it tested to make sure it is actually mange? a lot of times it is stress-related mange. Try giving it some extra attention and watch for signs or symptoms of stress, pay close attention to him or her. If it is actually mange i’d consult the vet, its a sensitive area
good luck
